My comment on this issue was not send on purpose!
I was beginning to draft a responds and decided to not respond on this
issue.
Somehow the E-mail got send it is infant stage.
My raw responds was more of a flashback on current discussions with some
IT Managers who believe that "Keeping all E-mails" is the solution to
the E-mail Management problem and the only think to discuss is how to
accomplish this. (Archive Server)

I agree that IT and RM should report to the same position in the Agency
or Company because of the related services they provide.
And naturally I agree that IT, RM and Legal need to have a strong
working relationship because of numerous reasons.

Now I believe that the position that IT and RM report to should not be
filled by an IT or a RM professional.
In my believe that position should be filled by somebody who has more of
a Business Administration background with an understanding of RM & IT.
That position should be able to take the recommendation from the RM
professionals and the IT professionals and find the best business
solution.

And Jesse I would agree that RM professionals cannot understand the full
complexity of IT issues. (Careful this is only a general statement and
does not apply to everybody fully)

In my opinion it would asking too much of one person to understand fully
the complexity of both professions. Furthermore I believe that we are
all bias to the things that we have a better understanding of. So again
in my opinion, a independent, not clouded with prejudice form management
is needed.
Either of the profession would suffer if they would be managed by the
other.
