|I have a list of field names that contains duplications, as follows:

|I have software that will "collapse" this list to an 
|unduplicated set as follows:

|AA003
|AA005
|AA007
|AA008
|
|I wish to know what the technical term is for the "collapsing" 
|process.  Or, just what do records management people call it 
|while standing around the water cooler?
