Apples and Oranges I think - The argument works great for active files and
I make it successfully all the time. But it's the stuff that accumulates
outside the normal controls that no one wants to go through, but doesn't
want to get rid of "just in case." That kind of stuff is easily ignored in
the normal course of business and is in a sense already virtually
destroyed.. But it's the fact that it remains retained and unindexed that
create that special legal liability where it seems only that boogey man has
any impact.
