Where does one find 1/2 size boxes? And how do storage vendors charge
for those boxes? Our storage vendor bases all charges (storage and
handling) on the cubic foot **BUT** the cubic foot they charge for a box
is not necessarily the actual size of the box, but the amount of
footprint it takes up on a shelf in relation to a standard-sized box.
For example, if you have a box that is 3" wider than a standard box,
they can't fit two standard boxes into that space, so you're charged 2.4
cu ft for your box (even if it's only 1.7 cu ft). I would assume that a
half-sized box would still be charged at 1.2 cu ft

Do the courts actually care how the records are stored as long as they
can be produced when requested and any destruction can be proved to be
done on a regular basis according to your retention schedule and is
halted if any litigation is pending? What does it matter to them if two
departments share a box?
