Hi Sharon, list,
The use of outside webmail was part of the question raised in a scandal
earlier this year. And Larry's links are useful as well.
At the risk of being completely self-serving, the email course I am
developing has an entire module devoted to web-based email - what it is, how
it works, the organizational implications, the records and preservation
implications, the privacy implications, etc. It should be available sometime
in January when the entire course goes live. In the interim, there is some
useful information available through the usual suspects - InformationWeek
being one of them, others including InfoWorld, KMWorld, eWeek. All of them
are free and many of them are being read by your boss and his/her boss....
Regards,
Jesse Wilkins
