There are several color map templates such as Tab, Smead, Barkley, etc.
but you can also customize your own color map spectrum using any
commercial color map editor. We use Smead ColorBar Gold system for our
label design and we have over 20 different label designs for our records
center. We have used Smead CBG for several years now and have been
quite happy with their design flexibility. CBG integrates really well
with Access databases, but has some limitations with Oracle or an excel
spreadsheet. I am also in the middle of testing TABQuik and would like
to exchange user experience with someone on the list who has used the
system offline.
