I'm an advocate of backing up to film as well. It's been pretty well
proven what the lifespan of microfilm is. Imaging hasn't been around
long enough to know how long the records actually DO last, as compared
to film. Or, am I misinformed?

records?

While we are moving more records to imaging all the time, we still
microfilm the majority of our court records. Those that have been moved
to imaging systems, depending on retention requirements are backed up to
film on an archive writer.
