Even this article (cited by Patrick) makes it clear that the "path forward"
is very unclear. The whole concept about users, be it at a Corporate,
Group, or Individual level need to make changes to the .reg files to be able
to access their older M$ stuff is ludicrous.
If you read through many of the user comments submitted to the ZDNet
article, you'll see I'm not the only one to draw this conclusion. The
article also correctly points out that doing this prior to the Open Office
XML ISO format vote in February wasn't exactly the smartest possible move
for Micr$loth to make!
