This seminar will explore a wide array of electronic information and
records issues including recent courts' decisions dealing with e-mail,
destruction of evidence, security precautions, development of records
policies and procedures, imaged records and disposition of originals,
etc. Practical solutions to complex records risk and legal issues will
be addressed. This session goes beyond Records Management basics to take
the attendee through a comprehensive overview of the latest issues in
the field including electronic records management, e-mail issues, and
attorney-client privilege in the digital age.

"If you use it, you have to manage it." Despite case after case
illustrating the consequences of failing to take this simple statement
to heart, many organizations today still fail to provide the policy and
practical guidance employees need when using e-mail, instant messaging,
and other contemporary communications technologies. In this interactive
and entertaining program, Mr. Kahn will take you through the process of
developing an e-communication policy - one designed to address the range
of legal, compliance, technological, business, and human resources
issues that organizations must tackle. In the process you will learn not
only to confront the issues, but also see first-hand the challenges
inherent to negotiation and implementing policy in the real world.
