A quick clarification on the 120MB file. In archival settings, this is
considered the master surrogate (preservation master) and is not to be
used for routine research/use. A lesser version (JPEG, PDF, etc) is
generated for general use. You could say it's analogous to master negative
microfilm, from which a positive film is created for use. With microfilm,
the master negative is locked away for safe keeping and only to be used to
make use copies (positives).
