Yes.  And with the recovery of records following a "disaster."

Accounting/Finance folks produce enormous amounts of records documenting
expenditure and income, without it governments would be in jeopardy and
businesses would be out of business.  Recent legislations throughout the
world place burdens of compliance on financial documentation.
