A year or so ago we finished scanning all of our microfilm (aperture
cards). 

For most of that stuff we scanned the original film. The last few
thousand cards we used the dupes. We did not notice any appreciable
difference.

All things considered though I would scan from the originals if you have
easy access to them.

to scan from silver original film, or should we have the vendors scan
from diazo duplicates?
