According to the Google blog, Google keeps search logs permanently, but
(as of last year) "anonymizes" the data after 18 months so it can no
longer be tied to specific people/accounts.

A casual look didn't reveal anything about how long YouTube account
information is kept, though apparently account owners have the option to
clear their viewing histories.

Viacom has also put out a statement that they won't be receiving any
personally identifiable information in the YouTube logs:
