I find this whole fascination with new technology and the adoption of it
interesting to say the least. Jesse and a few others are what are called
early adopters. They love new technology warts and all. Nothing wrong with
that. I think it is part of our genetic makeup otherwise we would still be
living in caves eating raw mammoth haunch.

But in adopting introducing this new technology we sometimes forget that
there are folks out there who will never adopt it. For example my father
does not have cable television, sees no reason for it. It was only in the
past year that he got a cellphone. How many people are still using dialup?
what you say? dial-up! yup. there are still folks who access the net via
dial-up and their experience with things like youtube, flash media etc is
not the same as those on broadband

so if you're considering introducing some technology, make sure the
experience is the same for all
