This also depends upon the ECM platform that you are using.  Whether it
be something like IBM FileNet, Linux-Base, Hummingbird, etc. really
makes a difference.  The client stations should easily be able to adopt
the global naming policies set forth by the ECM server; but this may
vary if different client workstations have different OS platforms.  Now
in terms of publications; the best source is to review the info relevant
to naming conventions on the platform that your ECM server is running.
