Close Date: July 18, 2008 
The City of Vancouver has a temporary vacancy for a Records
Administrator (VanDocs Corporate Records Administrator) in the Access
Vancouver project, City Manager's Office. This position is temporary for
approximately twenty-four (24) months, with the possibility of
extension(s). Reporting to the Project Manager, VanDocs Project, this
position is responsible for being an integral member of the VanDocs
Project Team. The position will provide expertise and knowledge on
corporate records management policies, standards and practices to the
VanDocs electronic records and document management system (ERDMS)
project, while working under the functional direction of the Director,
Records and Archives Division. Duties include: participating in the
design, configuration and deployment of the VanDocs system; developing,
implementing and sustaining corporate business rules; implementing the
VanRIMS classification structure and developing file plans; and
developing and maintaining testing plans and scenarios required to
validate business rules, system functionality and core configuration.
The position will work closely with other VanDocs team members such as
the Business Analyst to define and validate business requirements, the
Systems Analyst to analyse, approve, develop, test and implement changes
to the system, and the Training and Change Management Specialists to
design, develop and deliver training, communications and change
management plans and products. 
Qualifications:
Completion of related university degree in information management,
business, public administration, and a minimum two years responsible
experience in records management, preferably in a local, provincial or
federal government setting. Experience with ERDMS is preferred. CRM
designation is an asset. Also required is a thorough knowledge of the
principles and practices of records and information management, in
particular, the development and implementation of classification
structures, business rules, procedures and practices in an automated
records management system. Experience in developing and delivering
training and excellent communications and organizational skills and
superior customer service and response skills are preferred. Competence
with Microsoft Office is required, as well as some experience and/or
training in making presentations and facilitating meetings.
Salary Range:
Compensation for this position includes an annual salary range of
$56,321 to $66,530 (based on an hourly rate of $30.84 to $36.43) plus an
excellent benefit and vacation package as well as an earned-days-off
system. This position falls under the jurisdiction of CUPE Local
15(VMECW).
