I've tried to remain neutral on this off-topic, but I must respond to
that comment.  My strongest memory of Texas is driving from Houston to
Austin (actually, Round Rock), along 2-lane country roads with a posted
speed limit of 55mph, and being continually tail-gated by Texas pickup
trucks doing 80mph or more, honking at me and making rude gestures.  I
consider my self an aggressive California driver, but even I don't do
country roads at 80!  And it wasn't just a single instance of a lone
rude driver, but happened repeatedly over the entire distance (I recall
it as being about a 2-1/2-hour drive).  I'd pull over to let one pass
and another would take its place.

That was one of the most nerve-wracking drives of my life.  I've carried
that negative experience with me ever since.
