The GYN clinic calls for a file one day. I recognize the patients name
as one that had been pulled in the last four weeks so I look up the file
on the computer and head for the box. 

The file had not been refiled so I assumed that the clinic still had it.
Wrong, they had returned it. 

Now my employee was of the careless sort in those days (he later became
a CRM) so I got to thinking about what steps he would have taken in
returning the file. I ran out to the truck and pulled the front seat up
and found the file had slid down under the pick up truck seat. I found
another file there too. 

That was a very close call for a very important record. It was not the
last time I had to resort to such measures.
