We redefine responsive documents as part of the Litigation Files record 
series. Since responsive documents have been pulled out of or copied from 
the produced files, we process the produced files as their original record 
series once the matter is closed.

I asked the original questions because some within our organization have 
the same worries Peter has expressed.
