"Buckeyes ....; Again ? he, he, he They do appear to be loaded.
Let's see if Tressel can avoid choking..."

"Regarding Longhorns; I like them BBQd. Oct 18th will be a feast for
the Mizzou Tigers. Ya'll are invited..."

I am a huge football fan as well, but my alma maters won't be challenging for any national titles. So, here's an outsiders opinion on this years college football landscape.

1) Ohio State is a very good team and they will challenge for a national title. James Laurinaitis is a tackling machine, but I am not impressed with their offense.

2) The Georgia Bulldogs may bite their way to a title game, only if they can survive their schedule with games against Florida, LSU, Auburn and Arizona State.

3) Watch out for the USC Trojans, as always.

4) The real litmus test for the Longhorns will be their annual Red River battle against the Sooners. I suspect that Bevo will be limping out of that battle. I really hate to say that since I relocated to PA from Texas!

Now if we can only get rid of the BCS and implement a true tournament for the national title! Of course, that will never happen in college football although all of the other major college sports do so. Heaven forbid that the title game participants be decided by a computer as opposed to the teams on the field.

Thanks,
