No. "Vital Records" does not equal "Permanent Records." Some records are
vital only for a specific period. For example, Accounts Receivable
records might be classified as vital only until the money is received
and all related accounts are closed out (and possibly audited.) After
that, those A/R records are no longer vital.

Good afternoon,

Here is a question that I hope spurs interesting debate.  Should records
that are deemed vital be exempt from destruction, regardless of what the
disposition instructions or retention schedules indicate?
