Interesting article in the L.A. Times and subsequent discussion on
slashdot a few weeks ago about growing efforts to break the lock that
traditional textbook publishers have by following the open-source
software approach by creating more freely available and freely shared
open-source textbooks:

One can hope that as more people become used to and particpate in the
wiki/open-source approach to teaching/learning that the traditional
textbook publishing market will be severely impacted.

I noticed that McGraw Hill (the publisher of Information and Records
Management/Robek, Brown, and Stepehns) has an in print publication
entitled Professional Records and Information Management.  I would think
that the demands of the market would not encourage the same publisher to
market two texts on records management.  See the urls below for more
