The interesting part is that they are teamed up with a number of educational institutions (DePaul University in Chicago) for one where they are teaching a records management class. See their brochure here http://www.learning.depaul.edu/standard/site_components/documents/pdf/publications/brochures/ges/ges_214.pdf
Gaitlin describes themselves as "the world's largest provider of asynchronous web-based training to colleges, universities and other education providers. GES standardizes online methodology, including system administration, evaluation and instruction with its custom designed, browser-based courseware."
And I do believe it. They do not offer their non credit records management course directly to consumers but only through partnerships with educational institutions -- like DePaul University, Cleveland State University, and a relatively large number of community colleges. I know that it is a very basic course -- but one wonders if this might create a way for ARMA to deliver content of a more advanced nature and at least be under an umbrella of an educational institution

I am not familiar with Gaitlin or the course, but the textbook they are using is for a basic course, not advanced. It is geared toward beginners and clerical level. Records Management 8e is published by Southwestern Cengage (used to be Thompson Southwest).
