IIRC down in Texas for years elected officials at the state level would
maintain two telephones on their desk . One was for official state business,
the second was for personal or political purposes. I suspect this is why so
many are seen these days using a personal email account. The problem lies
with the fact that their device whether a blackberry or pda or cellphone can
handle both official and personal emails. I see it as a matter of training

its similar to why some folks such as myself post to the list from a gmail
account and not from my company account. The former is personal the latter
is for business
