A smart, "user-friendly" implementation of e-record classification can
make the experience a seamless one for the user. File plan components
can be extrapolated from key metadata, etc.
This technique, in turn, depends on a well-formed taxonomy to begin with
- so it's not just an IT problem. But the point I'm making is that it
doesn't have to be a choice between brainless auto-classification and
brain-teasing classification questionnaires.
