The United Nations Archives and Records Management Section (UN-ARMS) is
seeking assistance on a part-time basis for a records appraisal project.
The activities would include but not limited to:
· Review records holdings and apply the appropriate retention
schedules to all records;
· Liaise with the Archivist to determine the archival value of the
records;
· Identify overdue record disposition and liaise with offices to
facilitate disposal authorization.
The individual will work closely with and under the direct supervision of
a Record Management Group Leader. ARMS is seeking preferably a Graduate
Student in Archives and Records Management based in New York City or
within commuting distance. The assignment is for 3 months initially with
possibilities of extension. Flexible hours can be arranged, up to 20 hours
per week. Fees paid will be based on qualification and experience.
