You might want to join ARMA also at arma.org as it is the primary 
professional organization for records and information management 
professionals.  Their website through the bookstore link will provide you 
with much information on this subject either through purchase of books or 
downloading various articles that deal with evaluating and choosing the 
appropriate software for your needs.  I strongly recommend that if you are 
able to attend their conference in Las Vegas, October 20-23 as there is a 
large vendor exhibit area where you could spend several days talking to 
the vendors and evaluating the various software products that are out 
there.
