Program: Continuing the "Do You Know Where Your Records Are?" theme, this session explores ways to use e-mail archiving as a tool:
- control where e-mails reside
- improve access to messages
- apply legal holds
- manage legal review
- apply retention
The discussion will include whether the policy or the tool selection should come first, how to determine the functionality your organization needs, decision areas for configuration and implementation, and the pros and cons of different retention models in e-mail archiving.

Speaker: Donna Jean G. Vitalie is the Corporate Records Manager for AOL LLC, where she leads the records management program for AOL, and its wholly owned subsidiaries. She is a Certified Records Manager with nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. Donna has held leadership positions in the records management community, including serving as President of the Greater Washington DC Chapter, Region Director for the Mid-Atlantic Region, and on the Board of Directors for ARMA International. In addition to her experience as a practitioner, she advised Fortune 500 and AmLaw 100 clients while consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young and Federal government clients while with Booz Allen Hamilton. Her experience spans nearly all areas of records management and records retention programs including assessing and improving programs, developing and implementing related policies and procedures, and selecting and deploying technology
enablers.
Menu: The menu will consist of a variety of Thai specialties, including vegetarian options, served family style, and includes soft drinks. Cash bar will be available.
