RIM Professionals,

We have record series for Retention Schedules, Destruction Certification,
and Modifications/Additions to Retention Schedules. However, we create
other daily RIM records, such as; daily emails in answers to RIM
questions, record storage activity, RIM training, and RIM records created
in anticipation of litigation. We currently consider these records as
operational management records. However, since there is a need to prove
you have an effective RIM program, should not these records be another RIM
retention schedule (i.e., RIM Operational Management Documents)?

Does your organization have a record series for day to day records
management documents? Do you keep these types of records as evidence of
an effective RIM program, and if so for how long?

Thank you.

Kevin Tisdel
Director of Corporate Compliance
Shaw Industries Group, Inc.
