It is good to SNIA giving its due (so to speak) to Records and
Information Managers.  We all owe a debt of gratitude to Larry Medina
and to Peter K. for their willingness to "due battle" on occasion with
some of the SNIA staff and members.  I'm not overly encouraged by some
of SNIA's moves, since they do appear to continue to be making efforts
to "reinvent" the wheel where Records and Information Management is
concerned.  As a trade group, they are also quite focused on providing
value to organizations that sell specific solutions (software and
hardware), so their perspective is not one that focuses on a
"profession."
