I do not believe that there are specific standards that focus on HR records per se. The use of formats is not standardized by application area either. Both .pdf and .tif formats have been used (my experience). What is most critical is determining how those records may be indexed (by employee number, name, etc.) and the quality and completeness of the conversion effort.

Subject: [RM] Standards
Hello All,
Quick question to the group, does anyone know if there are standards
that deal with the conversion of paper records - specifically HR Records
- or any record type really- to digital format (PDF format)? If so,
would you point me in the right direction?
Many thanks for your assistance.
Vladimir
