Earl,
Re measuring results of electronic destruction, I was involved in this
type of measurement at a previous employer.  I worked with the storage
management group in IT to get a starting measure in gigabytes of the
particular store that was being addressed and got a follow up
measurement after the event.   They used a tool from Symantec called
Storage Central that was pretty neat - it would produce reports that
showed largest files, files of a particular type, etc.  As I recall, we
could do reports by employee, but it has been a while.

I am a big advocate of getting numbers to demonstrate results.  Good
