Larry, I have been recording dvd's since home recorders were first
available. This has been exactly my experience - too many appear to have
about a 2 - 4 year life span. It appears to be far more unreliable than
cd recording, or even tape recording. I wasn't sure if it was because of
my original recording unit, which I just recently replaced - looks like
I'm not the only one experiencing this.
