You might consider using warrant boxes for audio cassettes. Another
thing we've done, if you are using cartons that only fold to a single
cardboard layer all the way around (unlike, for example, certain bankers
boxes), is to cut them diagonally all the way around half way between
top and bottom with a box cutter. You can then slide the top part over
the bottom part as a "lid", creating a handy, half carton sized box
that, when stacked on top of another takes up no more space than a full
box, but allows for easy access.
