Very interesting observation Larry.  I just created a document using MS
Office 2007 and save it as a .pdf with the familiar pdf icon.  I
examined the properties of the saved pdf and it is identified as a Adobe
Acrobat Document and says that can be opened with Adobe Reader 8.1.

This was a quick test, but it seems to work. It also seem to be a real
Adobe document.
