In a typical EDRMS or a R&D Schedule there is no possible way that you can
have a different retention schedule apply to parts of a folder.
The retention is either one period or another.

Depending on the documentation in the folder depends on the retention
period. I would suggest that you create a separate folder for each
of the different retention periods, or try to file the documentation into
'like subjects' based on the retention periods.

This will assist when you archive your material because it is best practice
to [re[are archive boxes with files of the same retention period.

If you need any further assistance feel free to email me off or on list.
Will be only to happy to assist.

It would be the longest. I am curious as to how you're able to apply
more than one retention to a single folder?

Knowledge is of two kinds: we know a subject ourselves, or we know where
we can find information upon it.

Subject: Multiple Retention Policies

I am looking for feedback on applying multiple retention policies on one

folder.

Since there are sometimes multiple authorities that have regulations on
how long to keep certain Records is it best practice to create and apply

more than one policy on a single folder or list the multiple authorities

within the policy and make sure the policy follows the longest
regulation?
