Sadly - not everyplace does offer affordable broadand, or even cable
believe it or not. At our house in Kansas, not that far from town, the
fastest internet connection we could get on a fabulous day was 32K, with
the average being about 26K! We chatted with a guy from the phone company
when he was out working on the box near us and he said that the company
had no immediate plans to replace the lines with faster lines - maybe 10-
12 years out! Cell services, while greatly improved, was still spotty and
sattelite service expensive.

While the listerv might be considered low tech, it's certainly accessible
with dial up.

Saying, that, however, I firmly believe that as RIM professionals, we need
to dive in and try out new tools and technology so we can help develop
plans for helping people manage records in them and for us to remain
relevant.

Opinions my own and not those of my employer...

(where we do have a high speed connection, but spotty service that the
cable company attributes to the postponed conversion to digital...)
