Hi all,

I recently was approached by the Records and Registration office about paper student transcripts. They are in the process of scanning the transcripts yet say they are required to keep the paper version anyway. I'm interested in seeing how other public universities in the US handle this question. Do the paper transcripts in fact need to be retained if there is a digital version?

From what I was told, there are microfilmed copies for some, though they are not sure of the scope, but know its incomplete.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be helpful - I checked around a bit for MN, but that's as far as I've gotten. This is one of the first places to stop for information.

Thanks,

Tom
