ACADEMY OF CERTIFIED ARCHIVISTS ANNOUNCES ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

The Academy of Certified Archivists (ACA) today announced that plans
for its 20th anniversary celebrations are underway.

Get information about the 20th anniversary conference of ACA, happening
August 13, 2009 in Salon K of the Governors Ballroom on the 6th Floor of
the Austin Hilton hotel.

The Academy of Certified Archivists is an independent, non-profit
organization for certifying professional archivists. Since its creation
in 1989, more than 1000 archivists have qualified for certification by
demonstrating a mastery of a defined body of knowledge and skills for
successful archival practice. Academy members are certified for a
five-year period. Renewal depends on continuing professional involvement
and growth.

Within the archival profession, the CA designation is a mark of
attainment, distinction, and commitment.

The 20th anniversary will be celebrated with a party for all Academy
members and friends of the Academy.
