Fred makes an important point.  Records managers and content managers 
define "archive" differently, and when they negotiate, they need a 
common definition.  EMC/Documentum and IBM?Filenet sales people almost 
certainly use the content management definition of archive: lots of 
content stored for a relatively short time, as opposed to the RIM 
practice which generally stores small amounts of content for a very long 
time.

Be careful to speak the same language.
