Indeed, and so do the IT folk; all the more reason to carefully define both terms and requirements.

Without flames, I would just like to make the point that Records Managers
and Archivists frequently use different definitions for "archives" as well.

Fred makes an important point.  Records managers and content managers 
define "archive" differently, and when they negotiate, they need a 
common definition

Be careful to speak the same language.
