Hi Frank,

Speaking of education... I found your PowerPoint on "Cleaning Up and
Migrating Shared Drives Compliantly" very informative. The city where I
work is currently installing an ECM and we are beginning to think about
how to migrate our assets.

Can you (or anyone else on the list) recommend other sources on the
topic of File Migration?

Thanks very much,
Lois

I've presented on the same subject for Lorman the past 2 years in
Northern
Nevada. Mostly good experiences. Don't count on much in the way of
speaker
fees but the real value comes from teaching and learning a few things
from
the attendees. The Lorman folks pretty much leave it up to you to decide
the
program. Last year I coordinated the speakers for our event so we had a
decent mix of subjects ranging from physical to electronic to legal. You
might want to consider contacting the records manager for the state of
KS to
get a few slides on "a message from the State Records Manager." I did
that 2
years ago and it seemed to be well received.
