bzzzzzz! sorry Mark. they are what one would call best practices. The term
"standard" is often misused when in actuality people are referring to
guidelines, best practices, generally accepted practices.

ISO 15489 is a standard
ARMA along with AIIM produce standards such as "Managing Electronic Messages
as Records" or "Vital Records" (currently undergoing revision/updating) To
learn more about ARMA's Standards Development Committee cruise on over to
www.arma.org and click on the Standards link. there you will see the various
standards and guidelines that are currently under development
