Sorry for the late response on this, but I'm just now getting through
my Listserv inbox
We are in the process of implementing Symantec Enterprise Vault 8.
When fully operational we will have an 18 month folder for working
emails, and folders for Medium-Term Records (5 years), Long-Term
Records (10 years), and one for event-based records called Not Yet
Determined. Once I do the retention schedule and get an EDRMS, this
will be adjusted.
Anything remaining in the inbox is purged after 90 days.
For litigation purposes, we are journaling all emails for 90 days.
Anything not put on Litigation hold is purged after 90 days.
We do have limits on inboxes, but off the top of my head I don't know
what it is.
Ditto for backups, but I think they want to keep the daily incremental
backups only 2 weeks
