NO, THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL MESSAGE...

But, I think some of you may find this interesting. Not because of the "I
told you so" factor related to the obvious information that things that were
supposed to be done to comply with Federal requirements placed on the Office
of the President weren't being done, and NO I'M NOT saying that one or the
other Administrations wouldn't potentially do the same thing or have similar
probems.

And here are the images of the redacted emails that were released.

I haven't, nor do I plan to look at all of them, but one in particular I
found interesting was the message identified as "EOP0000156" which gives a
rather weak justification for a sole source purchase of a specific application.

In part states it's the only application that meets certain requirements and
cites a Gartner study (and even includes an image of a redacted graph from
the report) in support of the sole source justification. Anyone who is
familiar with this report and works in RIM knows this is a 'less than
accurate' portrayal of the facts. And the estimate of cost for licenses,
support and a pilot is pretty staggering as well!
