Another note regarding military experience towards qualifying.  I was
asked many, many years ago to review a proposed candidate's application
to sit for the exams.  The candidate was a former officer in one of the
services, and although he had the responsibility for records management,
he did not actually do any of the records management duties, at least
that is how his application read.  He used words such as "I had
responsibility for" and "I had oversight for".  As I explained to the
Regent, at that time, it would be like my Department Chief stating that
he qualified to sit because he was responsible for records management in
our Command.  Yes, if I messed up, he had to answer to Command, but he
did not actually do any records management duties, nor did he know how.
I'm not saying all Officer's would not have the practical experience,
just that most would not.
