that is not a problem of Yahoo groups. more of configuration issue or why
use the group to send an attachment to a select group within a YG?

control issue. something YG was not designed to control up to the YG
owners/moderators

once again a control and training issue, not a fault of YG

not a YG problem, but I agree that consolidating comments is difficult have
been there many times.

if you are using the YG address to send messages then there is no siloing.
Siloing occurs when members of a YG group decide to discuss amongst
themselves outside of the YG
all members of the YG receive the message when the message is sent to YG
address. It is up to the members to stay on top of the threads

???? how is this a YG

not a problem of YG, that is a problem for the user. how they manage their
time, just because I have the tools doesn't mean that i have to be
connected 24/7/365 (even though it seems it). do I always answer my phones?
and I say phones since i have 4 phone lines it all depends. the phone is
their for my convenience.

and that is a problem for which the individual needs to work with their IT
group and management to explain why they need access during business hours
via work equipment. If management won't budge then the individual needs to
find a work around e.g. is gmail accessible via work? if so then you have
your YG mail going to the gmail account and you access the YG website etc
after hours from home.

thanks for the discussion
