Hello Ben: I am probably late in the response here, but I wanted to say that our retention policy requires that we hold any and all superseded policies, including HR, for seven years. The schedule was approved by our risk carriers. Thanks, Lin

Subject: HR Policy Retention

List,

I have researched the archives and have found very little that would help me with this, so I would like to ask a question.

How have any of you approached the retention of HR policies? We have a superseded retention for all of our policies, however, I agree that HR policies must be retained longer for litigation purposes, but I don't want to specifically deal with statute of limitations for every issue that each policy addresses. Any advice?
