If I'm not mistaken this a result somewhat of Sarbanes-Oxley and remember
reading how non-profits would be required to have records retention and
destruction policies. I have a brother who serves on the board of a
non-profit and they just recently had a law firm develop a records retention
schedule and policy for them. I reviewed it for him and offered advice on
how it could be improved. (typical work product from a law firm not familiar
with records management)
