The cheese burger theory came for book the I bought my two daughters in
the early 80's. I used to buy them books from a wonderful little book
store near the Seven Up Headquarters building in Clayton MO where I
worked for eight wonderful years.

The books I was fond of buying them were books on how things work or
obscure theories and urban legions. We would read the books together and
laugh out loud at some of the crazy stuff the authors had written about.
The "Eat a Cheese Burger Before a Test" theory was one we laughed so
hard at the we had tears running down our faces. We also had a great
time making my wife their mother crazy as the girls would be insistent
on cheese burgers for breakfast before a big test. We still have a good
laugh about it as our grandkids and now entering grade and middle
school.

The big question however was and still is does the cheese burger theory
work? I would say it didn't hurt. Our oldest daughter is a successful
business owner in Springfield MO and our youngest is a successful nurse
who works in a Intensive Care Unit of a prestigious children's hospital
in St Louis taking care of and helping premature babies fight with
everything they have to survive.

When I took the CRM exam which I still call six of the most difficult
exams I every took in my life. I followed the cheese burger theory.
After all why not try whatever will work.

For those of you who are preparing for the CRM exams I wish to share
some words my Father-in-law said to me when I finely graduated from
college after 14 long years of night school "I bet you glad you did
...instead of you wish you had."

When I became a CRM in 1990 and as opportunities guided me from one
great company to another, I have repeated "I am glad I did instead of I
wish I had" many times over.

Also, thank you Alice for the kind words. For those of you thinking
about or if your studying for the CRM EXAMS...CHEESE Burger ON!

Several years ago, someone on the list(?) suggested eating a
cheeseburger
before taking the exams...

Best of Luck to You!!!
